This is a baby blanket I made for Madeline back in September. Since I wanted to have it made before she was born, and Caitlin & Mark wanted the gender to be a surprise, the only neutral baby colors I could think of were white, yellow, and green. Luckily, while I was at the store, I found a yarn that changed between those three colors. I just used a crocheted v-stitch to make the blanket.
Caleb thought Caitlin was past due, so I put the blanket in the mail the morning after it was finished with a note on it that said, "Ok, now you can have your baby!" I got pictures later that afternoon of a brand new, beautiful Madeline. And she actually came early!
