Blue Puppy Blankie

I crocheted this little puppy blankie for a friend who is having a little baby boy next month. It didn't take long to make, but it was a little tough because I had to crochet it using 2 strands of yarn rather than 1 to make is extra thick. In the puppy's head, I put in 2 jingle bells so it would rattle quietly.

Pink Flower Headband

I made this for my friend's baby shower. I knit the headband and crocheted the flower that went on top. Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I had forgotten to take a picture until I had pulled up to the house where the baby shower was at! So, it was taken with my cell phone, my leg is the background haha!

Emily's Blanket

I made this blanket for Emily as soon as we found out she was finally on her way home! Mary & Matt opened it at their baby shower. This is the first time I've ever sewn a blanket, and I was really happy with how it turned out! I want to make more blankets like these, I really enjoyed doing it.

I love the oriental pattern on the front and the soft minky dot backing. Some of the lines I sewed aren't exactly straight, but I don't think Emily has noticed yet haha!

Mushi the Ladybug

This is the little ladybug I made for Emily. It was really easy and quick to make. The hardest part was sewing on all of the little spots! My grandma helped name her, ladybug in Japanese is tentou mushi.

I got the pattern from Lion Brand's website.

Blue & White Striped Blanket

This blanket took me 2 1/2 years to finish! Not that it was hard, but I guess I didn't realize when I started it what little time I would have to work on it with a baby. I intended this blanket to be for Tyce when he was just born, but I suppose it will have to be for the next one! Right now, I use it to cover my arms when it is cold and I am crocheting, haha! The detailing on this blanket is really beautiful though (shown below), and it was quite easy to make.

Puppy the ... well ... Puppy

Tyce named this little guy. Being the creative 2-year-old that he is, he named him Puppy! At first he was thinking of calling him "Homer 2", but his final decision was Puppy.

This one was fun to make too! Trying to figure out how to change colors for the striping of the shirt without it being too much of a mess was difficult at first, but I found a pretty good way. Tyce wanted Puppy the puppy to enter this world having fun, so he immediately put him on the slide outside. :)

Giraffe Blanket

With the help of my grandma (& french knot eyes by my mom), I finished this blanket before Tyce was born. Each piece was knitted (using the chopsticks my grandma taught me on!), then sewn together. It has a flannel backing to it, which is sewn on and held together throughout the blanket with ties. Tyce still uses this blanket 2 1/2 years later.

Homer the Giraffe

Tyce loves this little guy! This is my first attempt at amigurumi, and I was surprised at how easy and fun it was!

I got the pattern from Lion Brand Yarn's website.
