Tyce's Christmas Stocking

Finally finished Tyce's Christmas Stocking!!  Here's the final product.  :)

Tyce loves it, so that makes me happy.  He loves to lift up the snowman's jacket and laugh that Frosty is "showing his belly".  Now to start on Caleb's...

Home is Where Your Heart is

Just a little something I made for our family.  Sorry for the bad picture!  My camera is broken, so all I have is my lovely cell phone for pictures right now.  We were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple, so the heart where the thread leads to is where Las Vegas is located in Nevada.  I stained the wood just a little bit, so it's slightly darker than how I purchased it.  I hand-painted each of the nails, after the joyous time I spent pounding them all in haha!  I really like the look of the thread where it is really thick (close to the heart).  Wish it had that same color/thickness towards the top!  Overall, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  :)

Podo the Lion

I made this amigurumi for Tyce for his birthday back in October. He saw it next to my bed first thing in the morning, grabbed him, and asked if it was his. I guess leaving it there until I could wrap it wasn't the smartest thing, haha! It's ok for some birthday presents to show up early and unwrapped, especially when you're 3. When I asked Tyce what he wanted to name him, he announced, "Podo!" (pronounced: Pō-dō). I'm not sure where he came up with that one, and despite suggestions of other names that were a little more lion-y, he was adamant on Podo.

This one was a little harder to make; working with the "fun fur" wasn't exactly fun. The front legs seem weird to me because they are so long too. But Tyce likes him, and so did my sister haha.

I got that pattern on Lion Brand Yarn's website.

Lagging posts...

From September through even now, I have been working like crazy on Christmas gifts and crafts. Pictures will come soon. I am really happy how everything turned out! Can't wait to post them.

Madeline's Baby Blanket

This is a baby blanket I made for Madeline back in September. Since I wanted to have it made before she was born, and Caitlin & Mark wanted the gender to be a surprise, the only neutral baby colors I could think of were white, yellow, and green. Luckily, while I was at the store, I found a yarn that changed between those three colors. I just used a crocheted v-stitch to make the blanket.

Caleb thought Caitlin was past due, so I put the blanket in the mail the morning after it was finished with a note on it that said, "Ok, now you can have your baby!" I got pictures later that afternoon of a brand new, beautiful Madeline. And she actually came early! (Men, haha!)
